Oreos & Milk

Other than apple pie, is there any dessert more American than Oreos and a glass of cold milk? Nothing beats soaking these little treats in the milk until they are so soft that the cookie just dissolves in your mouth - although in this case, one of them never quite made it to the milk. Sometimes you gotta lick the cream filling!

Brick and Pear

One of the things I admire in the great painters, past and present, is their ability to create textures with paint. I found this old brick behind my garage and I was taken by the way it had been weathered by time. This painting is my first stab at portraying it in a painting...I am sure I will return to it many times in the future.

This painting is available for purchase. The price is $100 (US) plus $14.95 (US) for shipping/handling/insurance. The painting will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail. The painting is varnished, signed in the lower left corner and ready to frame. For more information, or to purchase the painting, please email me by clicking here. Painting is offered on a first come, first served basis.

Check out my Squidoo lens about daily paintings if you would like to know more about the painting a day movement.

Well, the wait is finally over. There is still some work to be done on my official website, but the paintings will begin appearing tomorrow night at about 7:30 pm, MST.

If you have not already done so, consider signing up for the email notification in the form over on the right column of this site. You will then receive an email whenever I post a new painting on this blog. Or, if you prefer, you may sign up via your favorite RSS reader. (Don't worry, you will not receive any other emails from me...just a notification when a new painting comes online. See my privacy policy if you have any questions.)

Also, check out my new Painting a Day page over at Squidoo.com. It explains the whole painting a day concept and will help orient you to the movement.

See you tomorrow!
